Micro-needling 

Microneedling involves using a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate collagen and elastin production, leading to firmer and smoother skin. Additionally, microneedling helps reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. It also enhances the absorption of skincare products for improved effectiveness, resulting in a rejuvenated and healthier-looking complexion.

Most describe it is uncomfortable but tolerable. Topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure for a more comfortable treatment.

The best results are obtained with a series of 3-4 sessions scheduled about 4 weeks apart. Once the initial sessions are complete most people repeat once a year or so.

Though there are devices you can use at home, they have shorter needles that will not penetrate as deeply and will not be as effective.

There are no serious risks or side effects when used by a professional. Mild redness, bruising, inflammation, tenderness and swelling can occur but are short lasting.
